Have you ever wanted to try out making traditional Japanese magatama? Now’s your chance!
The Iiyama City Furusato Hall is hosting an event where you can try making magatama yourself. “Magatama” were beads worn in the ancient Jōmon period (about 17000 years ago) by village chieftains mainly as jewelry and to ward off evil spirits.
