~Kyusodai: The Silkworm Feeding Table~

information
A kyusodai is a specialized worktable used for feeding mulberry leaves to silkworms. During the era when sericulture (silkworm farming) was thriving, this tool was indispensable for efficiently preparing the silkworms’ meals.
Typically made of wood or bamboo, it looks like a low table with a wide, flat top designed to easily spread out the mulberry leaves. Most kyusodai were 30 to 50 centimeters tall, making them the perfect height for working while seated.
